淮安作为运河之都,名人故里,旅游景点有五十多处。随着大运河申遗成功,淮安成为国际化旅游城市是众望所归。近几年,淮安对大运河、洪泽湖、淮河观光带的建设,淮安作为国际化旅游城市的硬件环境已经形成。但就其软件环境而言,还存在诸多问题。就旅游景点英文标识翻译来说,本文提出了除在借鉴陕西、广东、上海等地所制定的翻译标准外,淮安旅游景点译名还需体现出其地方历史、文化特色。所有译名应坚持统一原则。更为重要的是译名要保留“异质”特色,起到促销和“诱导”功能,打造出淮安旅游景点品牌。
Huaian Canal as a capital, celebrity hometown, there are more than 50 tourist attractions. With the success of the Grand Canal inscriptions, Huaian become an international tourist city is welcomed. In recent years, Huai’an has formed a sightseeing belt for the Grand Canal, Hongze Lake and the Huaihe River and Huaian as a hardware environment for an international tourist city. But in terms of its software environment, there are still many problems. In terms of English logo translation of tourist attractions, this paper proposes that in addition to borrowing reference standards from Shaanxi, Guangdong and Shanghai, the translation of Huaian tourist attractions needs to reflect the local history and culture. All translations should adhere to the principle of unification. More important is to keep the translation of “heterogeneous” features, play a promotion and “induced ” function, to create Huai’an tourist attractions brand.
