白族是集居在洱海地区的历史悠久、文化比较发达的一个少数民族。位于大理白族自治州西北角的剑川县,素有石雕传统。在剑川县城西北约3公里处的满贤林,满贤林是金华山与老君山交错的峡谷,壁立千仞、古树参天,林中青石嶙峋,崖上悬楼挂亭,景色秀丽。剑川杰出的石雕匠师们从1994年开始,八十多名剑川石雕工匠夜以继日地在这里新雕琢出了1271头石狮子,以纪念剑川1271年设县,是当代白族艺术工作者和雕刻匠师们共同完成的新时期石雕杰作。千狮山山门两旁雄踞的巨大
