自2001年夏购入东芝SD9200旗舰DVD机,短短两年时间,AV界日新月异,风起云涌,DVD更加是成为家喻户晓的产品,就如当年的VCD,已有进入普及阶段的势头。随后BULE-RAY“蓝光”及EVD等视频新格式亦相继面世。自东芝SD9200升级为SD9500之后,PIONEER 和 SONY也已经好长一段时间没有开发同档次的顶级产品了,而是致力于中价系列普及系列的拓展。但实际上DVD阵营并没有固步自封,拥有DVI-D 数码输出和增线功能的 DVD机也终于开始上市了,把DVD的解像度从480P提升到最高达1080i 水平,让 DVD水平发挥到极致。最初只是有 CARY D6等个别的顶级发烧机才拥有高清级升频功能,而2003年的秋季,日本DENON推出了可升频 1080i的型号为A11的旗舰级全兼容 DVD机,好评如潮。
