１９４９年１２月２７日，成都解放。四川人民在中国共产党的领导下，艰苦创业，励精图治，开拓进取，在建设中发展，在改革中壮大。 翻开昨天的历史，追寻发展的轨迹，我们将看到几代人艰苦奋斗，一步步铸就辉煌的日日夜夜。 五十多年来，四川的整个面貌发生了翻天覆地的变化。特别是党的十一届三中全会以来，四川人民以经济建设为中心，坚持四项基本原则，坚持改革开放，开创了全省经济社会持续发展，充满活力而又基本稳定的新局面。各项事业欣欣向荣，经济实力明显增强，人民的物质和文化生活水平显著改善。
On December 27, 1949, Chengdu was liberated. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the Sichuan people are arduously pioneering, exert their efforts in their own ways, forge ahead in development, develop in their construction and grow stronger in the process of reform. Open up the history of yesterday and follow the path of development, we will see generations of people working hard and building a brilliant day and night step by step. Over the past 50 years, the whole face of Sichuan has undergone tremendous changes. Since the Third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee in particular, the people of Sichuan take economic construction as their central task, adhere to the four cardinal principles, persist in carrying out their reforms and opening up, and create a new situation in which the province’s economy and society are sustained, vigorous and basically stable. All undertakings thrived, their economic strength markedly enhanced, and their material and cultural living standards improved significantly.
