读了《中国花卉盆景》杂志1990年第一期丁大洋同志的《根艺不能只为几上之玩》,笔者也深有同感。根艺作为一门有着近两千年悠久历史的传统艺术,却很少有“再现古老中华与时代精神”的传世力作出现,不能不使人为之焦虑。当然,作者仅仅把“表现民族精神,古代神话重大题材”的作品列入“力作”,却把“花、木、虫、鱼、飞禽、走兽之类”打入另册,归为“几上玩艺儿”,这种仅以题材的大小去品评艺术作品的观点显然欠妥。但丁大洋同志的忧虑和叹息绝非杞人忧天。目前,在树根造型艺术
