破碎与磨矿节约能源系选矿技术工作的主攻方向,而突破口则应放在碎磨作业。采用“多碎少磨”或“以碎代磨”和研制高效碎磨设备是节约碎磨作业能耗的主要措施。破碎作业有向四段闭路流程发展的趋势,碎矿产品粒度6—10毫米,以便减轻磨机负荷。在设备方面有采用颚式圆锥碎矿机、反击式破碎机、角螺形磨机衬板以及半自磨工艺等等。
