Objective: To explore the effect of unilateral distribution of electronic prescriptions in hospital wards. Methods: Before and after the implementation of the centralized prescription of electronic prescriptions, the prescriptions of 600 prescriptions (all the same prescriptions written by doctors after the morning rounds of obstetrics) were collected. The incidence of prescription errors before and after the centralized distribution of electronic prescriptions was implemented, The average prescription time and patient satisfaction were compared. Results: The incidence of prescription errors (0.16%) was lower than that before implementation (1.30%) (χ2 = 4.030, P <0.05). The mean post-implementation prescription time was (2.0 ± 0.3) The mean time to use before (25.0 ± 5.3) m in was significantly reduced (t = 2.613, P <0.01). The patient satisfaction was significantly higher than that of 83% before implementation (χ2 = 105.530, P <0.01). Conclusion: After unilateral delivery of electronic prescriptions, the workload of pharmacy staff and ward nurses decreased, the working efficiency increased, the satisfaction of patients and their families increased, and the ward escort decreased gradually.
