在南非出生成长的荷兰女艺术家玛琳·杜玛斯,从20世纪90年代中期开始日益受到当代艺术收藏家们的推崇和追捧,并在21世纪初前后对很多中国青年艺术家产生影响。2009年玛琳·杜玛斯在洛杉矶当代艺术博物馆举办了个展,这是迄今为止最为全面地展示杜玛斯艺术成就的一次展览。本期梁红霞、冉国洪的文章通过回顾两年前那次大展上的一些情况和杜玛斯的一些重要作品,对这位非典型的女性主义艺术家的艺术历程做了比较全面的梳理和描述。玻璃是一种传统的艺术媒介材料,又在今天不断发展变化,南楠的文章概要地介绍了近年来英国艺术家在玻璃艺术方面从技术到作品表现形式上的一些新尝试。
Marlene Dumas, a Dutch female artist born and raised in South Africa, has been increasingly respected and sought after by contemporary art collectors since the mid-1990s and has had an impact on many young Chinese artists around the turn of the 21st century. In 2009, Marlene Dumas held a solo exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, which is by far the most comprehensive exhibition of the artistic achievements of Dumas. In this issue of Liang Hongxia and Ran Guohong, the article reviews the art history of the atypical feminist artist by reviewing some of the events two years ago and some important Dumas works. Glass is a traditional medium of art and is constantly evolving today. Nanan’s article gives an overview of some of the new attempts British artists have made in recent years in terms of glass art from technology to performance.
