银染技术对染色体上有转录活性的rRNA位点具有特异性,该技术已用于肿瘤遗传学中。有关的研究表明,肿瘤细胞的Ag-NOR数目、位置均可有改变;白血病骨髓细胞的Ag-NOR数增加,在疾病发作期高于缓解期;肿瘤患者的Ag-NOR数可增加、不变或减少,此外在明显致癌倾向的群体中Ag-NOR也有不同于正常人群而近似癌症时的改变。肿瘤Ag-NOR数目改变的机制有几种假说。对肿瘤患者Ag-NOR异质性的规律、机制和意义有必要作进一步研究。
The silver staining technique is specific for transcriptionally active rRNA sites on chromosomes, and this technique has been used in oncogenetics. Related studies have shown that the number and location of Ag-NORs in tumor cells can be changed; the Ag-NOR number in leukemic bone marrow cells increases, and is higher in the episode of disease than in remission; the Ag-NOR number in cancer patients can increase and remain unchanged. There are several hypotheses about the mechanism of changes in the number of tumor Ag-NORs. It is necessary to further study the regularity, mechanism and significance of Ag-NOR heterogeneity in cancer patients.
