我国加入WTO已半年,虽然“利弊之争”告一段落,但对于入世的短期效应和长期效应依然看法不一,有人觉得变化较大,也有人认为没什么变化。半年来经济发展状况和外经贸走势说明,加入WTO对我国经济的总体影响是积极的,变化是可喜的。就全年而言,我国外经贸能够保持稳定增长,甚至有可能与GDP增长同步。这半年来,我们全面、积极、建设性地参与了WTO各项活动。过去别人制定规则我们遵守,现在我们获得了平等制定规则的权利,这对维护中国和广大发展中国家的权益非常重要。 Although China’s accession to the WTO has been half a year since the “battle for advantages and disadvantages” has come to an end, the short-term and long-term effects of joining the WTO are still mixed. Some people think the changes have changed a lot and others think that nothing has changed. The economic development in the past six months and the trend of foreign trade and economic cooperation show that the overall impact of joining the WTO on our economy is positive and the change is gratifying. As for the whole year, China’s foreign trade and economic cooperation can maintain steady growth and may even be synchronized with GDP growth. For the past six months, we have participated in various WTO activities in a comprehensive, active and constructive manner. In the past, we set the rules for others to abide by. Now that we have obtained the right to make rules on an equal footing, it is very important for safeguarding the rights and interests of China and the vast number of developing countries.
