对汉唐历史的研究积累到今天,已取得了丰厚的成果,但也面临着如何进一步深化的问题。由于长期以来史学研究中存在着断代分割的倾向,局限在传世史料中按朝代分别进行研究,实际上使得汉唐时期历史研究的问题空间在萎缩。在国外,中国传统文化受到越来越多的关注,但是,在西方国家从事中国历史文化研究的学者中间,明显地存在着“重两头轻中间”的倾向,即研究主要集中在先秦和明清时期,而对汉唐时期的研究很不充分,或者说涉及的问题有很大局限。这种格局使他们很难将中国历史作为一个动态的过程加以研究,并由此带来对中国历史文化片面的理解,消解了对中国文化复杂性的认识。
The study of the history of Han and Tang Dynasties accumulated to this day, has made great achievements, but also faced with the problem of how to further deepen. Due to the long history of historiography, there exists the tendency of dividing from generation to division, and the limitation is to study separately according to the dynasties in the historical materials of the historical period. In fact, the space for the historical research in Han and Tang dynasties is shrinking. Abroad, Chinese traditional culture is receiving more and more attention. However, among the scholars engaged in the study of Chinese history and culture in western countries, there is a clear tendency of “focusing on the middle of the other”. That is, the study mainly focuses on the pre-Qin and Ming and Qing Dynasties Period, but the study of Han and Tang Dynasties is not sufficient, or the problems involved are very limited. This pattern made it difficult for them to study Chinese history as a dynamic process and thus brought about a one-sided understanding of Chinese history and culture and eliminated their awareness of the complexity of Chinese culture.
