明隆庆、万历年间,广东饶平人林凤为避官兵进剿,率战舰62艘,5500余人,扬帆向吕宋进发,占据冯嘉施兰(Pangasinan)新建国家,教民织布和耕种,受到当地百姓的拥戴。林凤,又名林阿凤,西人谐音李马奔,近代学者在述及此段史事时,亦误作李马奔或李马芳。笔者在实地考察时,通过当地土著的口碑相传和历史遗迹佐证,厘清了这一误译之缘由。本文通过查阅
