永乐宫和永乐宫壁画自上世纪五十年代被重新发现之后,很快引起各方面的重视,各种图录以及相关的著述,几十年来问世的数量已经不算少,它的重要性,今天自已无须论证。不过就壁画来说,人们更多关注的仍是它在美术史中的意义,而作为一份丰厚的文化资源,相关的讨论和研究似乎尚不充分。零八年仲秋参加文学所组织的晋南考察,运城访永济舜帝庙,参观盐湖区博物馆,又解州关帝庙、常平关帝祖祠,卧云冈池神庙,至永济鹳雀楼和蒲津渡遗址,在永乐宫近距离观摩壁画。对于我来说,此行最为牵挂的是几番山西之旅均无缘一至的永乐宫,不过行程所见人文地理似乎也都可以成为理解永乐宫的参照,因在这里散记大概,而着重记述永乐宫参观
