随着中澳政治、经济关系的不断发展,两国科技、经贸交流正在迅速发展,两国科学家和企业家的交往也日益增多。这令我想起去年在澳大利亚参加东华节所度过的难忘的日子。东华节创办于1955年,中间间隔了20多年,去年举办的是第二届。应澳大利亚中联集团有限公司和澳大利亚华人学人协会的邀请,我们这个由中国太阳能学会、中国铁道科学研究院、中国农学会、中国农业大学、中国科协国际部等单位组成的代表团一行7人于1997年6月赴悉尼参加了宗旨为“拓展经贸、科技合作的新纪元”的第二届东华节即中国澳洲
