百姓村是人们对河北省插箭岭村的一个雅称。村里人口542人,161户,令人惊奇的是在以宗族房界为乡村基础的中国,却有一个几百年历史的小村庄,姓氏高达70多个,难怪人们要称它为“百姓村”。
People’s Village is an elegant name for people in Hebei Province. The village has 542 inhabitants and 161 households. What is surprising is that in China, where the clan realm is the rural foundation, there is a small village of several hundred years old with more than 70 surnames. No wonder people call it “the people village”.
