含羞草科银合欢属中的新银合欢(Leucaena leucocephala),是适应性较广,生长迅速具有发展前途的饲料、燃料、肥料、木料树种。我国自1961年引种以来表现良好,但在育苗过程中,由于种皮坚硬具腊质,极难吸水,播种后短期内发芽率只有10—20％,有些种子甚至2—3年才能发芽。为了研究种子萌发吸水困难原因,摸索适宜的处理方法,对新银合欢种子进行了发芽试验.获得初步成果,现简报如下:
Leucaena leucocephala in the genus Mimosa is a feed, fuel, fertilizer and timber species with wide adaptability, rapid growth and promising development.
