刘西古(1939～),中国国画当代实力派画家、发改委中国行业发展研究中心美术界特高级研究员,享受政府津贴。1962年毕业于北京工艺美术学院,受益于娄师白、任率英、黄均、赵文、万一、王庆生、崔辑五等老师,特别深受书法大师、教育家吴玉如先生的指导,被先生称为“晚年知己”。擅长工笔人物花鸟及写意花鸟,所作精湛。其工笔荷花淡雅,有西画的造型;工笔仙鹤,吉祥喜庆,酷似年画;
Liu Xigu (1939 ~), the painter of contemporary Chinese painting strength, Development and Reform Commission China Industry Development Research Center of fine art fellows, enjoy government subsidies.
