该厂针对由于多次更换轴承、壳孔严重磨损、机修困难这一问题,提出了一个新的改装方法,即采用可更换类似砂轮轴式的工件主轴,主轴本身结构一种为滑动轴承、一种为滚动轴承,由于壳体为钢制,热处理后进行磨加工,大大提高了几何精度和耐磨性能,这一改进把机修工作从以往的修修配配、对号入座的方式提高到成批生产、总成予装配进行储备,大大提高工件主轴精度,生产效率和压缩机修周期.据改装的M8804K磨床试磨C36211轴承内沟结果,84%符合C级精度要求,其中18%达到比C级高一倍的超C级精度.
