Hilltop Sprague Dawley (HT) is a hypoxia-sensitive rat that may develop severe altitude hypopigmentation disorders such as pulmonary hypertension, right ventricular hypertrophy, and red blood cells in chronic hypoxia. Systolic and diastolic hyperthyroidism is much better than normal Wistar (W) rats. In this study, we compared the changes of plasma catecholamine (CA) and cardiac adrenergic receptors (HTs) in HT and W rats after being exposed to hypoxia for 15 days at an altitude of 5000 m in order to investigate the biological mechanism of hypersensitivity in HT rats.
