The Last Leaf, also translated as “The Last Ivy Leaf,” is one of the masterpieces of O. Henry, a famous American critical realist writer. He is one of the three major short story masters in the world. He is good at digging and praising the great personality and noble character of the little people and showing their longing for the human world. This story made us nervous about the destiny of Joan, sighed for the friendship of the Soviet Union, and shocked Berman’s fraternity once.
