刘经南,湖南长沙人,一九四三年出生,中共党员,现任武汉大学校长。中国著名大地测量学专家,中国工程院土木、水利与建筑工程学部院士,教授、博士生导师,主要从事大地测量坐标系理论、卫星定位理论与应用及数据处理、软件开发等方面的研究且颇有建树。由于刘经南院士及其同事们的贡献,中国测绘科学一直在国际上保持领先地位,并与测绘强国美国、德国并贺齐驱,占据世界前3强,为中国的科学事业赢得荣誉和尊重。目前,刘经南院士正致力于卫星定位国家空间信息基础设施的建设和GPS工程技术的产业化发展。先后获得湖北省、国家“有突出贡献的中青年专家”和中国科协“全国优秀科技工作者”称号。
Liu Jingnan, Changsha, Hunan, born in 1943, member of the Communist Party of China, the incumbent president of Wuhan University. Chinese famous geodesy expert, Chinese Academy of Engineering civil, water and construction engineering academician, professor, doctoral tutor, mainly engaged in geodesy coordinate system theory, satellite positioning theory and application and data processing, software development, and quite a Build. As a result of the contributions made by academician Liu Jingnan and his colleagues, Chinese surveying and mapping science has always maintained a leading position in the world. It has also won the quest for excellence in mapping and powering the United States and Germany and occupying the top three in the world. It has won honor and respect for China’s scientific undertaking. At present, Academician Liu Jingnan is devoted to the construction of national space information infrastructure for satellite positioning and the industrialization of GPS engineering technology. Has access to Hubei Province, the state “outstanding contributions of young and middle-aged experts ” and the China Association for Science “national outstanding science and technology workers ” title.
