在当代,外语学科在国民经济中的地位逐步下降,甚至愈来愈边缘化。在这一历史背景下,只有实施国际化发展战略,推进师资队伍的国际化,在教育理念、人才培养、学术研究和社会服务等方面努力实现与国际发展趋势对接,方能实现外语学科的快速发展。自2012年以来,上海交通大学外语学科将国际化战略确定为学科发展的主战略,大力推进师资队伍、人才培养、学术研究和社会服务等领域的国际化,目前已发展成为以国际化师资队伍、研究性教学体系、跨学科研究体系和产学研结合为主要特征,而且具有较强办学实力和良好办学声誉的学科。
In the contemporary era, the position of foreign language subject in the national economy has been gradually declining, and even more and more marginalized. Under this historical background, only by implementing the internationalized development strategy, promoting the internationalization of the teaching staff, and striving to achieve convergence with the international development trend in educational philosophy, personnel training, academic research and social services can we achieve rapid progress in the field of foreign languages development of. Since 2012, Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s foreign language subject has determined its internationalization strategy as the main strategy of its discipline development, vigorously promoted its internationalization in such fields as teaching staff, personnel training, academic research and social services. It has now developed into an internationalized faculty , Research-based teaching system, interdisciplinary research system and the combination of industry, education and research as the main features, but also has a strong educational strength and a good reputation of running a discipline.
