Flexibility in the construction of conceptual maps is one of the most challenging issues in figurative and conceptual metaphorical literature. We outline a theoretical assumption that places the weight of interpretation on the dynamics of attention that interact with the patterns of induction in a coherent and maximized work-memory that has a consistency. A test of this theory is provided in the text of the spatial domain mapping time to concept mapping. Participating taxonomic terms correspond to the past or the future in different spatial locations (back-front, left-right). Responses are faster when uncorrected place words match post-past, anterior-future metaphorical mapping. Moreover, when introducing a reference to a new high-level task-related spatial framework, a new architecture is used to change the past and future mapped space (in this case, the past refers to the left space and the future points to the right space) Way, just as the theory predicts. The study shows that concept mapping is a substantive issue of flexibility and opens up a collection of metaphorical changes through tasks, individuals and cultures as a result of dynamic study of attention.
