人,象征着社会力量,马,象征着自然力量,人类骑上了快马,马便成为人类的千年知己。在中国古代,当人类从马的体态、习性中发现了种种美感;当人类赋予马一些被人格化了的精神与品性;当人们将对马的这些感受化作笔墨形诸纸绢时,便出现了“人马画”。画马既是一个时代的精神体现,也表露出一个时代的美学追求。从两岸故宫博物院庋藏的数千件历代画马之作中精选出几件作品,意在以图说形式展示自唐至清朝的中国古代画马历史。纵观这一幅幅“人马画”作品:唐马肥壮,宋马雅致,元马昂扬,清马毕肖。我们可越过千年时空的阻隔,尽情地品味一个尽在马上的艺术世界。
