“Salon” is the French transliteration of SALON, originally Italian. It was introduced to France in the 17th century. The meaning of this word refers not only to the room where the artwork is displayed, but also to the gathering of people who speak literary arts. Most of the people who came in and out of here were dramatists, novelists, musicians, painters, critics, poets, philosophers, politicians, etc. They all had the same kind of interests and gathered together to enjoy the literary and artistic issues of common interest. Unfettered lightness. “Sharon” provided these “homes” with places to disseminate information and learn skills.
