有关电功率的计算问题是初中电学计算的重点，通常用功率公式P=w/t=UI（适用于任何电路）计算，对于纯电阻性电路（电能全部转化为内能即w=Q的电路），还可用功率公式P=Q/t=I^2R=U^2/R计算。除了直接用功率公式计算之外，“比例法”在有关电功率计算中有着重要的应用。
