Objective To evaluate the residual exposure of quinolone and tetracycline antibiotics in the animal diet of Guangzhou residents and estimate the health risks caused by the exposure of these two antibiotics in the animal diet. Methods The content of quinolone and tetracycline antibiotics in animal food in Guangzhou was monitored by ultra performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry during 2013-2014. Based on the food intake data of the survey of residents’ nutrition and health in 2007, Methods Guangzhou residents of the animal diet in the two types of antibiotic exposure assessment. Results The highest 97.5th percentile values of quinolone and tetracycline antibiotics were 7.55 ng / (kg · bw · d) and 3.71 ng / (kg · bw · d) respectively in the meat diet of Guangzhou population. The diet of eggs The maximum exposure of 97.5 percentile was 127 ng / (kg · bw · d) and 31.8 ng / (kg · bw · d) respectively. The maximum risk of quinolone and tetracycline risk was 0.06451 and 0.00065, respectively, 1. Conclusions Guangzhou residents are safe for quinolone and tetracycline antibiotics exposure in animal diets and there is no health risk.
