印尼汽车和摩托车相关产业在金融风暴中受到沉重打击。自1997年下半年开始,印尼汽车和摩托车销量大幅下滑,使汽车和摩托车零部件市场跌入低谷。截至1998年4月底,印尼近八成的汽车零配件制造商不是宣布倒闭就是停产,经营状况不错且外债压力较小而尚在营运的厂商,不是开始转向外销市场,就是缩小营运规模,以应付急剧萎缩的印尼国内市场需求。
Indonesia’s automobile and motorcycle-related industries were hit hard by the financial turmoil. Since the second half of 1997, Indonesia’s sales of cars and motorcycles have fallen sharply, causing the auto and motorcycle parts market to fall to the bottom. As of the end of April 1998, nearly 80% of auto parts manufacturers in Indonesia did not announce that the closure of the auto parts manufacturers was suspended. The companies operating in good condition and with low foreign debt pressure are still operating.
