Early on December 9, 1992, the whole world turned its attention to Somalia in the Horn of Africa and shifted its focus to a beach near the capital, Mogadishu. As the pioneer of the United Nations multinational force, 1,800 U.S. troops are now leaving the warships at sea by helicopters or amphibious landing craft and marching toward the chaos in Mogadishu. When the United States did not encounter any armed resistance when it landed, it was subjected to “surprise attacks” by nearly a hundred journalists. Journalists who have long been waiting for them use flash and spotlights to shine as pre-dawn beaches, and have made another live demonstration of the U.S. military’s major television operation after the Gulf War on the television to make millions of viewers live in time I saw that exciting picture.
