新月派对于中国传统文化既有批判亦有承继,对于西方文化也并非毫无保留地全盘接受,他们在批判与反思中国传统文化不足的同时,提出以开放的心态学习和借鉴各种文化之优长,其文化观展现了他们建构民族文化认同的努力,不能简单概之以“全盘西化”。九一八事变之后,民族危机不断加剧,民族主义日益高涨,新月派知识分子对于传统文化在理智认识与情感依归之间的纠结,折射出20世纪上半叶中国知识分子文化认同的复杂面相。
The New Moon Party criticizes and inherits Chinese traditional culture. It does not accept the Western culture without any reservation. While criticizing and reflecting on the inadequacy of traditional Chinese culture, the Crescent Moon Party proposes to study and learn from various cultures with an open mind Excellent and long, their cultural values demonstrate their efforts to construct a national cultural identity and can not be simply summed up in their “total westernization.” After the September 18th Incident, the national crisis intensified and nationalism rose day by day.
