Blue phase liquid crystals(BPLCs)show potential for application in display and photoelectric devices due to their advantages of fast response time,self-assembly structure and macro optical isotropic state.Although,the temperature range of BPLC has been broaden to more than 60 ℃ by introduction of polymer networks into the declinations,there still exist some issues for applications,such as high driving voltage,hysteresis effect,weak stability and low contrast.In this report,we will show our recent research on BPLC materials and devices.
