A microbial collection of strains of animal origin is stored by the Zooprophylactic Institute of Sardinia.The collection is held by the Bacteriology Laboratory and includes strains of the National Reference Centre for Mastopathy of Sheep and Goats, a branch of the Institute.It represents a "bank" of microorganisms for research and diagnostic purposes.
