Endoscopic management of large prostate (＞80 grams) is traditionally challenging.However, in the advancement of technology, such as bipolar energy as well as thulium laser, transurethral resection of prostate (TURP) can be performed safely in the patient with a large prostate.Bipolar TURP alone may result in a higher secondary hemorrhage rate, whereas thulium laser TURP itself has a long operation time and a difficulty in tackling intravesical prostate.These shortcomings can be overcome by combining both methods.
