The major chlorophyll (Chl) a/b light-harvesting complex of photosystem Ⅱ (PSII),LHCII,which contains at least half of all the chlorophyll (Chl) pigments in chloroplasts, serves as the principal collector of solar energy on earth. The resolved structure of LHCII revealed eight Chl a,six Chl b,and four carotenoids (Cars),as well as their ensemble average orientations and relative positions[1,2].
