We report on the cooperative energy transfer process in Tb3+-Yb3+ codoped CaFCl nanophosphors, which were prepared by the one-step sol-gel method.The X-ray powder diffraction, photoluminescent spectra and decay curves were measured to characterize their structural and luminescent properties.The Yb3+ emission in the wavelength range of 950-1100 nm (2F5/2→2F7/2) was observed under 484 nm excitation attributed to the 7F6→5D4 transition of Tb3+.
