Aim: Platinum-based chemotherapy is the main treatment method in lung cancer patients.The genetic polymorphism of Wnt inducible signaling pathway protein l(WISP1)was reported to be associated with the development of some lung diseases such as asthma and ventilator-induced lung injury.In this study, we aimed to investigate the relationship between WISP1 genetic polymorphisms and lung cancer susceptibility and platinum-based chemotherapy response in Chinese lung cancer patients.Methods: 556lung cancer patients and 254 health controls were enrolled in this study.The 28 SNPs of WISP1 gene were genotyped by SequenomMassARRAY.Result: We found that WISPlrs16893344, rs2977530,rs2977537, and rs62514004 polymorphisms were related to susceptibility of lung cancer;and WISP1rs16893344, rs11778573, and rs2977536 polymorphisms were significantly associated with platinum-based chemotherapy response in lung cancer patients.
