GPS multipath mitigation based on improved particle filtering algorithm

Multipath on carrier phase measurements caused by signal reflections in the vicinity of GNSS stations is among the major error sources for GNSS positioning.An algorithm based on improved particle filtering was proposed to improve the position accuracy by mitigating multipath effects on carrier phase.Within consideration of particle degeneracy phenomenon,UKF was taken in particle regeneration.To eliminate the noise from raw data and data processing error,the paper put forth adaptive filtering with threshold wavelet within data preprocessing and particleregeneration.The experiment results indicate that the improved algorithm can significantly mitigate the multipath effects in carrier phase double-differenced residuals,and hence improve the positioning results after analyzingperformances as well as being compared with particle filtering,EKF-PF,and UKF-PF.
