We have been interested in visible-light harvesting transition metal complex.[1] Herein such a complex,e.g.cyclometalated Ir(Ⅲ) complex Ir-2 (ε =49212 M-1 cm-1 at 465 nm) was synthesized (Fig.la),[2] and was used as 1O2 sensitizers for the photooxidation of 1,5-dihydroxynaphthalene (DHN) (Fig.lb).[3]
