The zebrafish is an excellent model for studying the development and function of inner ear.Herein,we reported the characterization of a zebrafish line which contains a mutation caused by Tol2-transposon integration in the first intron of gene cldn7b .The mutant displays enlarged otocysts,smaller or eliminated or confused otoliths,delayed formation of semicircular canals,and insensitiveness to sound stimulation.
