Purpose To assess both thickness and square of bicuspid and aortic valve based on 3D dynamic whole-time-phase reconstructive images in Chinese by DSCT.Methods and Materials 100 healthy adult volunteers(male 60,female 40,average 42years) without heart valve disease were enrolled from February,2009 to Augest, 2009 by DSCT.Whole-time-phase dynamic images were reconstructed at 5% interval by circulation software.3D movie was displayed for bicuspid and aortic valve during openning and closing phase. The evaluation of data was performed by three experienced radiologist with more than five years experience, and SPSS 13.0 was used for statistical analyses. Results The average bicuspid valve openning phase was60% ,openning squares was 7.44±1.73mm2, and the thickness of anterior and posterior valve was 0.66±0.28mm and 0.59±0.27mm respectively during openning phase; the average bicuspid valve closing phase was 30%, the thickness of anterior and posterior valve was 1.67±0.45mm and 1.19±0.34mm respectively during closing phase. The average aortic valve opening phase was 30%,operning square was 4.16±0.87mm2, and the thickness of anterior, posterior and laterior valve was 0.8 1±0.27mm, 0.82±0.24mm and 0.91±0.32mm respectively during opening phase;the average aortic valve closing phase was 60%, the thickness of anterior, posterior and laterior valve was 1.64±0.24mm, 1.51±0.22mm and 1.66±0.26mm respectively during closing phase. Conclusion 3D Dynamic whole-time-phase reconstructive images can confirm the opening and closing phase of bicuspid and aortic valve, and assess thickness and square.
