Based on the revised Mincer wage equation, using the “China (Guangdong) Family Dynamics Survey (CFPS)” data from Sun Yat-sen University, Guangdong Province as an example, we first measure the degree of intergenerational transmission and put forward the social energy Under the assumption of providing people with equal opportunities, this paper uses the method of sub-sample regression to compare the effect of intergenerational transfer and personal struggle on income. The study found that the effect of intergenerational delivery on income is indeed greater than the individual’s efforts. Individuals from low- and middle-income families, though able to raise their incomes through various efforts, are rather difficult; relatively speaking, individuals from high-income families have a much easier time raising their incomes.
