Zinc oxide (ZnO) is a semiconductor material with a direct wide band gap of 3.37 eV.ZnO nanorods and nanocones have enormous applications in field emission devices, ultraviolet lasers, high performance nanosensors,light-emitting diodes, solar cells, and so on.Wet chemical methods are attractive to grow ZnO nanorods and nanocones due to the properties of low cost, less hazardous, low reaction temperature and alternative substrates.
