The talk includes,in its first part,a survey of results from the spectral theory of weaklysymmetric tensors,applied to the metric and Cartan tensor fields for Finsler models of m-th root and Randers types.In the second part,these tensor fields are studied from the perspective of the Big Data tensor framework,grounds for a partial classification of Finsler-type structures.
