Pre-combustion CO2 capture technology is recently focused on one of reduction methods of carbon dioxide from power generation system.Separation of hydrogen after water-gas shift reaction through membranes can produces essentially pure hydrogen in the permeate side and CO2 of high pressure and high concentration in the retentate side.Many researchers have been studied on various membranes for low cost separation of hydrogen.In this work,ternary metal membranes have been developed to separate hydrogen from mixed model gases such as CO2,H2,and CO which particularly is generated during coal gasification and/or water gas shift reaction.Hydrogen separation with membranes is non-galvanic,i.e.it does not use an external electric power supply for gas separation.Nb-Ni-Ti membrane was prepared by heating each metal rolling into plate and cutting at proper size.The hydrogen permeations for every runs have been measured as a function of temperature (300-500 ℃) and partial pressure of hydrogen at the feed side.Also the stability of the membrane was investigated with various temperatures and feed composition.
