Glioblastoma is the most common malignant primary brain tumor in adults.The aggressive growth manner makes eradication impossible even after extensive microsurgical resection along with current standard chemoradiation.Several promising novel strategies in pre-clinical research have failed to achieve significant therapeutic effect in clinical application, largely due to either lack of selectivity for glioma or inability to effectively deliver therapeutic agents to the invasive tumor cells.
