Background: Neuropilin-2 (NRP2), a receptor of semaphorin3F (SEMA3F) for regulation of nervous system development, has been reported to play an important role in promoting tumor metastasis recently. However, up to date, the prognostic value of NRP2 in human colorectal carcinoma (CRC) remains elusive. Methods: Overexpression of NRP2 in CRC was defined by the cutoff value through performing receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis, and the corresponding pathological significance was examined on 259 cases of formalin-fixed human CRC specimens and 10 paired CRC fresh samples by immunohistochemistry (IHC) and western blot.
