Complex bridges are owned and maintained by many agencies worldwide. Most complex bridges consist of hundreds or thousands of elements, and each element typically requires careful, individual condition assessments and maintenance attention which produces large amounts of records after every inspection.Keeping these structures operating with the highest levels of safety requires a wide variety of detailed assessment and maintenance processes with very large amounts of data that are collected and analyzed on an ongoing basis. An individual report of the findings on a single complex asset can very easily exceed 1,000 pages in length for each condition assessment. To assist in the inspection and management process,a new 3-D Visualization software is being leveraged to collect condition assessment data and exhibit the performance measure, maintenance, and general asset management needs on an enhanced 3-D model and reporting output.
