We study the global bifurcation curves and exact multiplicity of positive solutions for the one-dimensional perturbed Gelfand problem%{μ′′(χ)+λexp(αμ+αμ = 0,%-1 <χ < 1,μ(-1)= μ(1)= 0,%%%where λ,α >0.We prove that there exists α0(≈ 4.069)> 4 such that,on the(λ,||μ||∞)-plane,the bifurcation curve is S-shaped for α > α0 and is monotone increasing for 0 < α ≤ α0.It is joint work with Shao-Yuan Huang.
