Prelemniscal radiations are a compact group of fibers localized in the white posterior subthalamic area, in front of the sensory lemniscus, that run obliquely from the posteroinferior to anterosuperior way forming a funicule. They begin in Substantia nigra and mesencephalic reticular nuclei to the motor thalamus ascending in a medial to lateral coordinates between red nucleus and subthalamic nucleus (STN) and Zona incerta (Zi).
