Adaptation of globalization and diversification in higher education,leads to re-engineer the existing education system(s)in terms of its structures and functions to cater expanding scope and differences.Consequently,at the institutional level,it is also essential to enhance and/or introduce a quality information system at Internal Quality Assurance units(IQA)in order to handle this expanded,diversified and innovative scope.Maintaining a quality information system is one of the main responsibilities of an institutional IQA secretariat.Thus,clear understanding of secretarial responsibilities together with guidelines of good practices for Institutional IQA secretariats would assist both experienced and inexperience secretariats to maintain a strong Quality framework and a Quality Information System(QIS).
